A new laboratory study indicates that antibacterial products have a positive value in killing non-hospital — or “community associated” — MRSA bacteria. Clinical studies to confirm the results are needed, experts say.

This study demonstrates that invasive MRSA is a major health problem, no longer confined to intensive care units, acute care hospitals or any health care institution. Consumers need to be proactive to protect their health. Wearing protective gloves and using anti-bacterials are the first, preventative steps. – The Editors
