==================================================

The Inter County Connector is a highway connecting
I-270 and Route 95, that is currently under construction. The construction of this toll road for the rich will have devastating consequences for both the residents and the natural habitats lying in it's path.

The headwaters of Mill Creek, Rock Creek, Anacostia North Branch, and trout-supporting Paint Branch are at stake, as are about 30, 000 homes that are faced with the grim reality of living amidst heavily polluted air, with a dramatically higher risk of lung cancer, heart disease, and emphysema.At least 40 homes will be bulldozed, and their residents displaced.

This road stretches from Gaithersburg to Laurel,
(www.iccproject.com/project-area.php), threatening
everything in it's wake. That is,unless we work
together to put a stop to this growing monstrosity.

Potomac Earth First! is calling for a direct action against Clark Construction, one of the ICC's biggest construction contractors. Clark builds condos in our neighborhoods, barracks for soldiers going to Iraq, the IMF's new "HQ2" building, and even the baseball stadium in DC. Now the ICC is to be added to this sordid list, unless WE stop it!

On Friday, March 7th, we will meet at Bethesda Metro at 3:45PM for nonviolent direct action at Clark Construction's national headquarters in Bethesda, located at 7500 Old Georgetown Rd. They are right next to the Metro, and we will go disrupt business as usual. This is the first in a series of escalating actions against the ICC, and perfect target practice for I-69.

On Sunday evening(after NCOR wraps up) we are
reserving that time bloc for autonomous nonviolent
direct action. Again, this is an excellent opportunity to practice techniques for later use against the I-69 NAFTA superhighway.

In addition, there will be at least one home demo
during the March 7-9 weekend at an ICC target TBA, probably a senior official from Clark Construction Group.

Come join us in putting a stop to the construction.
